Export BahrainEconomic Development Board

Export Bahrain is the first national entity specialized in developing exports and supporting national products and services to make them global. It is part of the national efforts to support the expansion and prosperity of existing institutions and companies in Bahrain in enabling exporters to consolidate their foothold on the global trade map by entering export markets with high growth rates.

Export Bahrain has launched and developed over the past years a diversified portfolio of services and solutions to strengthen the flexibility of exports and enable companies aspiring to expand to reach customers in any market around the world. The arrival and display of national products on the shelves of prominent global retail institutions in their local and international branches.


In addition to advisory services to support new exporters by providing support and guidance to new and potential exporters to facilitate their access to global opportunities. In addition to providing institutions with international market information, requirements and regulations to enable them to reach and understand the target market. Supporting institutions to list their products and services on local and international e-commerce platforms and supporting them in setting up an online store and others.

The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) is a dynamic public agency with the overall responsibility of attracting investment into the Kingdom of Bahrain and supporting initiatives that enhance the investment climate.

The EDB works with the government and both current and prospective investors to ensure that Bahrain’s investment climate is attractive, to communicate the key strengths, and to identify where opportunities exist for further economic growth through investment.

The EDB focuses on several economic sectors that capitalize on Bahrain's competitive advantages. These sectors include financial services, manufacturing, ICT, tourism, logistics and transport. Bahrain's financial services sector in particular is strongly located in the region, the EDB plays a supporting role in the growth of the banking sector and its sub-sectors, including Islamic finance.


The Bahrain EDB Board is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and includes representatives of the Bahraini Government and private sector.

The Labor Fund (Tamkeen)Bahrain Development Bank

The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) ensures providing support to all economic sectors, while focusing on high potential sectors such as the industrial  sector, in alignment with the economic recovery plan and Tamkeen’s strategic direction.
