Registration Directorate Services
1. General supervision on the issuance of commercial licenses in accordance with regulations and laws related to the commercial register.
2. Review applications for issuing commercial licenses submitted to the Ministry in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
3. Coordinate with the concerned authorities to exchange information on commercial licenses, follow up the completion of procedures and issue the final registration certificate through the computer network.
4. Collecting commercial license fees through the e-system.
5. Establishing, maintaining, and updating a database of all information related to commercial licenses and visas.
6. Providing the required extracts and certificates for commercial licenses as recorded in the database for individuals and concerned authorities.
7. Issuing periodic reports on commercial licenses, collected fees and other updated information in the database.
8. Preparing studies on the general situation of the commercial sector in Bahrain and proposing the necessary policies and plans to develop it and improve its performance.
9. Managing, maintaining and operating an e-system for commercial licenses (Sijilat), in addition to ensuring its effectiveness and continuously evaluating it in coordination with concerned authorities.
10. Developing commercial licensing procedures and systems according to regional and international agreements and treaties to keep pace with the Bahraini economic development movement
11. Spreading awareness by providing information and clarifying the requirements for commercial licenses, in coordination with the concerned administrative Ministry unit.
12. Providing technical support to users of the Commercial Licensing System (Trakhees) in updating activities and procedures while addressing technical problems and proposing solutions.
13. Dealing with complaints and obstacles related to commercial licenses.
14. Providing various services to GCC investors by facilitating and accelerating their commercial procedures and attracting them to invest in Bahrain.

7. Coordinate with concerned authorities regarding anti-money laundering and illegal financing in the work of persons registered in the Commercial Register in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to enhance the safety of the commercial environment.
8. Establishing an economic information base covering all types of companies, which constitutes a reference for making economic and commercial decisions, and providing reports, economic statistics, and analysis.
9. Enhance the requirements for verifying the economic essence of companies operating in Bahrain, in accordance with relevant international laws, decisions, regulations and obligations.
10. Representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international events related to the exchange of information, economic feasibility and combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

Foreign Trade and Industrial Property Services
1. Participate in joint economic committees, trade negotiations and local, regional and international economic blocs to strengthen Bahrain's commercial position.
2. Preparing and organizing official visits of senior officials in the Ministry and visiting foreign trade delegations and following up with the results of these visits in coordination with concerned authorities.
3. Participate in the work of the Bahraini and Gulf commercial negotiation team and follow up on matters related to FTAs between GCC countries and other economic blocs.
4. Participate in WTO meetings, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the UN Conference on Trade and Development, follow up on the rights and duties of the Kingdom of Bahrain in these areas, and work as the Secretariat General of the WTO National Committee.
5. Preparing commercial studies and reports between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the rest of the world and economic blocs.
6. Implementing laws and regulations related to industrial property such as trademarks, patents, utility models, industrial designs, geographical indications, integrated circuits and trade secrets.
7. Review and develop various international legislations, conventions and treaties related to industrial property in accordance with international organization requirements, in coordination with the concerned authorities.
8. Receive, examine and register applications submitted for the registration of all industrial property branches.
9. Prepare approved registration applications for publication in official newspapers or in the Industrial Property Bulletin or any other means before accepting them for registration.
10. Review objections submitted against the registration of any industrial property branches during the approved legal periods.
11. Follow up on visas and renewals related to the registration of all branches of industrial property and issue the necessary notices.
12. Cooperation and coordination with GCC Patent Office and contribute to its development.
13. Develop an electronic system for industrial property according to the best international practices.
14. Receiving counterfeiting complaints on all branches of industrial property and taking the necessary measures in this regard.

Consumer Protection Directorate Services
1. Ensure that suppliers' compliance with issued laws related to consumer protection and combating commercial fraud.
2. Receiving complaints from consumers, investigating them along with disputes that arise between supplier and consumer, and working to settle them, in addition to developing necessary systems and procedures for resolving disputes and issuing decisions thereon.
3. Using various media to spread consumer awareness, providing special support for consumer protection issues, and raise awareness of the rights and duties of consumers, suppliers and advertisers according to relevant laws and regulations in coordination with the concerned administrative unit of the Ministry.
4. Receive, review and license applications for commercial discounts and liquidation.
5. Receiving and reviewing promotional campaign requests, licensing them, supervising their implementation in the local market, ensuring the integrity of prize draws, and following up on winners receiving prizes.
6. Conducting studies, research and economic and legal data analysis by statistical methods to reach indicators that contribute to consumer planning programs in the Kingdom.
7. Performing specialized studies regarding commercial practices in local markets and analyzing and evaluating complaints received by management and taking necessary action in their regard.
8. Applying the latest regional and global consumer protection methods and identifying the problems and obstacles of consumer protection and available opportunities.
9. Periodic review of laws and decisions related to consumer protection, updating and amending them, and working to implement them to provide the best services to consumers.
10. Coordinating and cooperating with competent organizations and regional and international committees and implementing consumer protection policies.
