On the sidelines of his participation in the 10th Session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM) in Dhaka, The Minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani met Mr. Shahjahan Kamal, Minister of Civil Aviation & Tourism.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bangladesh, which includes cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and tourism and ways to develop trade exchange the two countries. The minister stressed the importance of mutual visits and meeting between the senior officials in both countries as well as private sector to achieve the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries.

​The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism obtains Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001 after passing the external audit that conducted by Bureau Veritas Company during the period 28-30 of January 2018.

On this occasion, Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Mr. Nader Al Moayyed said that the ministry has maintained its level in excellence in implementing the quality management system continuously and considered one of the leading government bodies in implementing Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001. The Ministry was awarded the first certificate in 2002 and since then the ministry passes the external audit annually.
  
This achievement reflects Ministry's interest and its keenness to work according to the international methodologies to achieve high efficiency and high service.  The Ministry has worked over the past two years to train its quality team on the new requirements of the standard and follow-up adjustments in operations and documentation required.

The minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani received Italian ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Domenico Bellato.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Italy and ways to enhance cooperation mechanisms in all fields particularly industrial, commercial, tourist and investment sector.   The minister also praised the advanced level reached of Bahraini-Italian relations and joint cooperation in various sectors especially the economic.

The Capital Club Bahrain hosted the Minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani as keynote speaker on Sunday, January 28, 2018, where a large number of business members, officials, businessmen, and ministry’s senior officials attended the event. 

During the event, the minister touched the economic developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain and initiatives launched by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism during the last three years, as well as ministry’s achievements in 2017 in trade industry and tourism sectors.  He also touched the new laws and legislations some economic indicators for the third quarter of 2017.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani received CEO of International Development Ireland (IDI) Mr. Ronan Diegnan, in presence of Undersecretary of Industry Affairs Mr. Osama Alorrayedh and BIIP Manager Project John Patrick, where the Minister received a copy of the annual report of the performance of the Bahrain International Investment Park.

During the meeting, the minister stressed keenness of the government of Bahrain to develop all economic sectors in Bahrain including the industrial sector, stressing the importance of taking advantage of all international experiences and expertise and related advisory institutions, including the International Development Ireland (IDI).

The minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani received newly-appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Tunisia Mr. Ibrahim Mahmood Ahmed and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Algeria Mr. Fuad Albahrna.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues related to the economic aspects and ways to boost cooperation with all countries of the world. The minister congratulated the ambassadors, wishing them success in their diplomatic mission.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani received newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan Mr. Ahmed Aldosari.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of topics related to economic sector and bilateral relation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan.  The minister pointed to the Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen its economic relation with all countries of the world and to benefit from international expertise and experience to develop the national industries. The minister expressed for further cooperation in trade, investment and tourism fields.

The minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, wishing him success on his new diplomatic duties.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani received newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues related to the economic aspects. The minister noted the remarkable growth in the volume of trade between Bahrain and Germany which contributed in developing bilateral relations and agreements between the two countries which includes trade, investment and tourism aspects.
In this regard, the Minister wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission.
