H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed that the awarding of the Ministry’s Metal Assay Center, by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, among the government service centers that received the gold classification "Taqyeem 5" in the Government Service Centers Evaluation Program, is a great incentive to continue achievements and continue to develop government services according to the highest standards.
The Minister noted that the Ministry harnesses all available resources and intensifies its efforts to develop performance, update systems and set priorities, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of government services provided to beneficiaries.
His Excellency also praised the efforts of all those in charge of the Ministry's service centers, encouraging them to continue these honorable achievements, and continue to develop performance to improve the quality of services and enhance the efficiency of government work.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro Minister of Industry and Commerce received H.E. Mohammad Rais Hasan Sarower, Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of his appointment as his country's ambassador to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Minister of Industry and Commerce welcomed HE the Ambassador, stressing the importance of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

The meeting discussed bilateral investment cooperation frameworks and new opportunities to expand partnership to serve the strategic and development directions and visions of both countries.
Minister Fakhro affirmed Bahrain keenness to continue strengthening aspects of cooperation with the UK in all fields, especially economy, noting the role that the private sector in both countries can play in supporting trade and economic exchange.
Moreover, the Minister highlighted the most prominent characteristics of the investment environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the development initiatives undertaken by the government to attract diversified investments.

Ambassador Hassan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and his accompanying delegation as part of an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Minister stressed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with United Nations organizations, especially the World Intellectual Property Organization, and particularly in the fields of intellectual property protection and supporting innovation.
The meeting also discussed a series of future initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property in supporting innovation and economic growth.

Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro Minister of Industry and Commerce headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 68th meeting of the Trade Cooperation Committee and the 54th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee in Kuwait, in the presence of Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry.
The meetings discussed topics on the agenda, including the latest developments in the negotiations of free trade agreements between the GCC countries and global economic blocs, in addition to initiatives to support Gulf entrepreneurs and enhance their presence in regional and global markets. They also reviewed the unified Gulf projects and laws and discussed the latest standards for defining the Gulf national product and the proposed policies to support and protect Gulf industries, in addition to initiatives supporting the competitiveness of the industrial sector, the Council's schedule and the mechanism to stimulate advanced and sustainable manufacturing.
During the visit, His Excellency Fakhro participated in the work of the periodic consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC, and the heads of GCC federations and chambers of commerce, and in the work of the fifth consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC countries and a group of Gulf entrepreneurs, and the ceremony honoring Gulf inventors, held on the sidelines of Meetings.
The Kingdom of Bahrain today formally deposited its instrument of acceptance of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, thus becoming the 97th WTO member to do so. Fourteen additional acceptances are required for the Agreement to enter into force.
The deposit ceremony was held at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, and Ms. Maryam Abdulaziz Aldoseri, Commercial Attaché at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Geneva.
Adopted during the Twelfth WTO Ministerial Conference, the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies represents a landmark achievement aimed at curbing harmful subsidies that contribute to overfishing and at promoting the sustainable management of global marine resources.
