H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro Minister of Industry and Commerce headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 68th meeting of the Trade Cooperation Committee and the 54th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee in Kuwait, in the presence of Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry.

The meetings discussed topics on the agenda, including the latest developments in the negotiations of free trade agreements between the GCC countries and global economic blocs, in addition to initiatives to support Gulf entrepreneurs and enhance their presence in regional and global markets. They also reviewed the unified Gulf projects and laws and discussed the latest standards for defining the Gulf national product and the proposed policies to support and protect Gulf industries, in addition to initiatives supporting the competitiveness of the industrial sector, the Council's schedule and the mechanism to stimulate advanced and sustainable manufacturing.

During the visit, His Excellency Fakhro participated in the work of the periodic consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC, and the heads of GCC federations and chambers of commerce, and in the work of the fifth consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC countries and a group of Gulf entrepreneurs, and the ceremony honoring Gulf inventors, held on the sidelines of Meetings.
