The Minister noted the support the banking sector receives as a prominent tributary to attracting investments and developing national economy, praising the innovative services and solutions provided by the Arab Financial Services to companies and consumers alike, which contributed to the formation of advanced expertise in the world of finance and business, noting the pivotal role played by such companies in their various specialties in supporting Bahrain's commercial movement and economic development.

On the sidelines of the 10th session of the Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
The meeting reviewed the long-standing relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, stressing Bahrain's support for all initiatives and projects that would strengthen and develop these relations to serve the interests of both nations.
The minister Hailed Saudi Arabia's aspirations and strategic steps to widen horizons through closer trade and economic cooperation between the Arab and Chinese business communities, and exploring qualitative investment opportunities in many sectors, hoping that the conference will achieve its ambitious goals.

Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, headed the Bahraini delegation in the tenth session of the Arab-China Business Conference, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and inaugurated by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs. In the presence of H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, H.E. Hu Chunhua, CPPCC Vice Chairman, and H.E. bin Abdulaziz Al Falih Saudi Minister of Investment. For the first time in Saudi Arabia under the slogan "Cooperation for prosperity."
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Investment, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and the Chinese Council, in an aim to promote international trade, the Union of Arab Chambers, strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the Arab and Chinese business communities, and explore qualitative investment opportunities. With the participation of more than 3000 decision-makers and investors, business owners, specialists, and those interested in Arab-China relations from 23 participating countries. The event includes a range of dialogue sessions and bilateral meetings, which discuss ways to achieve prosperity and sustainable development in various Arab countries and China.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed welcoming investments that contribute to raising economic growth rates in light of the facilities it provides to enhance Bahrain's investment position.
This came during His Excellency's visit to the Fives Services Gulf in the industrial area in Askar, in the presence French Ambassador Mr. Jerome Cochard, company CEO of Bahrain branch Mr. Fredic Jekyll, General Manager of the Aluminum Department Mr. Sebastien Joget, and Mr. Hassan Al-Majed, Sales Executive Director.
During the visit, the Minister listened to a detailed explanation of the work mechanisms of the factory, which was established in Bahrain in 2003, and is a subsidiary of the Fives French group, which provides processing equipment and production lines to major factories around the world, as well as services to the Middle East in industries like aluminum, steel, cement, and machinery from its headquarters in Bahrain, which Bahrain covers an area of 3,800 square meters and includes offices, workshop and warehouse. Five Services also has two more gulf branches, one in Saudi Arabia and one in the UAE.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received in his office Bahraini businessman Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, where they reviewed developments in the economic and commercial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In this context, HE the Minister stressed that the distinguished partnership between the public sector and the private sector is a key factor in the renaissance and growth of the national economy.
The Minister explained that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce seeks to provide more facilities and support to local institutions to upgrade them and their services, which in turn will contribute to increasing investments, whether local or international, which will ultimately increase the prosperity of the national economy in general
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, visited Bahrain Bourse, in the presence of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, and members of the executive management, where he was briefed on the departments of Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear Company and the tasks assigned to each department.
The Minister also met with a number of trainees of the Capital Markets Vocational Training Program, which is one of the awareness programs organized by Bahrain Bourse for the third consecutive year with the aim of providing Bahraini graduates with practical experience in the capital markets sector.
In the same context, the Minister elaborated on the most important services provided by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to the trainees, affirming the Ministry's support for all national cadres. Noting that such ambitious programs contribute to achieving the Kingdom's development goals, and developing the capital markets, pointing out the importance of benefiting from the provided practical training opportunities and programs, which contribute to raising skills, refining expertise and developing national youth's practical and productive capabilities in an incubating environment for research, development and innovation.
For their part, members of the third batch of trainees of the Capital Markets Vocational Training Program expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Excellency for his support and encouragement for developing services for the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
