H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce received Thailand Ambassador to Bahrain Piyapak Sricharoen, in his office today to review bilateral relations and issues of common interest.

The Minister praised the progress of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand, noting the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint work between the two friendly countries to develop economic partnership and achieve aspirations and goals.

For his part, the Ambassador expressed his country's aspiration to develop bilateral cooperation to serve common interests, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued prosperity.​

HE Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce conducted an inspection visit to Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA), in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, and the Chief Executive Officer of Alba, Ali Al Baqali, and a number of concerned officials. the Minister praised the influential role of industrial companies in the Kingdom in developing the infrastructure of the national economy, supporting the objectives of the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026) and implementing the objectives of the comprehensive development process and Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.

HE the Minister affirmed that the launch of the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026) as part of the economic recovery plan, promotes developing this promising sector in the Kingdom. Noting that the industrial sector strategy targets a number of industries that intersect with the industries targeted in the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development initiative between Bahrain, UAE, Egypt and Jordan, stating that: "We believe that this partnership provides opportunities for growth and prosperity, especially manufacturing industries in the aluminum and petrochemical sectors, in addition to clean industries represented in renewable energy and green and blue hydrogen, which supports the Kingdom's commitment in reaching zero neutrality by 2060, along with food, pharmaceutical, and microelectronics industries."

During the visit, HE toured the company and reviewed operations and progress of the sixth smelting line project, praising Alba's position as the largest aluminum smelter in the world​

H.E. Minister of Industry and Commerce Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhroo received in his office at the ministry today, German Ambassador to Bahrain Clemens Hach, in the presence of Sh. Hamad bin Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade, where they discussed topics of common interest.​

H.E. the Minister praised the depth and progress of relations between Bahrain and Germany, noting the keenness to support joint cooperation, especially in the commercial and economic sectors.

For his part, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the government's support in strengthening ties of cooperation and progressing relations.  

H.E. Minister of Industry and Commerce, received in his office this morning Bahraini businessman Mr. Nabeel Ajoor, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Ms. Eman Aldoseri, where they reviewed developments in the economic and commercial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.​
 

The Minister praised the initiatives of Bahraini businessmen and their continuous contributions to strengthening the national economy, noting that the Ministry is continuously working to ensure the flow of local and foreign investments in the Kingdom, and praising the great contributions and distinguished partnership between the public and private sectors. 

H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, praised the great role played by banking and financial institutions in promoting commercial activities and raising economic growth rates in the Kingdom in general.

This came during the meeting of H.E. the Minister of Industry and Commerce, in his office this morning, with BisB CEO Mr. Yaser Alsharifi, in the presence of HE Ms. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri Undersecretary for Ministry of Industry and Commerce, where they reviewed and discussed a number of topics related to banking and economic affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Moreover, H.E. Fakhro stressed the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to diversify the economic base in order to provide an attractive environment for investments in various sectors, according to the objectives of the economic recovery plan.

H.E. Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro received in his office this morning Member of the Shura Council H.E. Redha Monfaradi.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities, and mechanisms that enhance joint work in order to achieve national goals, as the Minister praised the continuous efforts of the members of the Shura Council in this aspect​

H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, participated in the second annual ministerial roundtable on the future of minerals, which was held within the framework of the second edition of the International Mining Conference, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting discussed enabling the creation of resilient mineral value chains across the major region from Africa to West and Central Asia, with the participation of a number of ministers, and representatives of government delegations, representatives of multilateral organizations and agencies, leaders in the mining and minerals sector, and non-governmental organizations from countries in the region and beyond.​

The meeting also focused on the region's ability to contribute to the growing global development of important mineral value chains, encouraging responsible mining, increasing the value of mineral wealth in our region by becoming the suppliers of choice through positioning the region as an emerging center for "green" minerals, and global cooperation, to establish "centers of excellence" to enable development in the regions.

On the sidelines of the second International Mining Conference in Riyadh, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, met with H.E. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.

.The meeting discussed the long-standing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, stressing the esteemed government's support for all programs, initiatives and projects that would strengthen and develop these relations to serves the interest of the people, praising the aspirations and strategic steps led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which reflect the great interest towards sustainable development of all economic sectors, including the mining sector, to meet the rapid global growth on minerals necessary for the manufacture of advanced technologies, hoping that the forum will achieve its ambitious goals.
