The Joint Economic Committee between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its 41st meeting at the Ministry's building. Where the Ministry of Industry and Commerce was chaired by HE Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and the BCCI was chaired by Chairman Mr. Sameer Nass, in the presence of a number of senior officials and members of the Joint Economic Committee from both sides.
The Minister affirmed that the meetings of the Joint Economic Committee come as part of the Ministry's approach in cooperation, coordination and consultation with the Chamber on all common issues.
H.E. Fakhro also expressed the Ministry's support for all initiatives supporting the developing the economic sector in Bahrain, stressing the importance of coordination with the Chamber as the main representative of the private sector in the Kingdom, to achieve aspirations and enhance Bahrain's commercial and investment environment.
After that, the topics on the meeting's agenda were discussed, in addition to reviewing and following up topics of the previous Committee meeting.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, met today with H.E. Mr. Alistair Long, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Excellency the Minister affirmed the keenness to continue strengthening the established bilateral relations between the two countries in accordance with common goals, especially in the industrial and commercial fields, wishing the Ambassador all success in his new diplomatic missions.

This came during a meeting that gathered the Minister of Industry and Commerce with H.E. Mr. Steven C. Bondy, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting discussed joint cooperation in the commercial and industrial fields, the Minister highlighted the pivotal role of the free trade agreement in raising the rates of trade exchange between Bahrain and the US, noting Bahrain's keenness to strengthen its global economic relations with all countries. Stressing in the same context the role of the private sector in both countries in maximizing the benefit of the advantages of bilateral agreements and cooperation.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received the newly appointed French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Eric Giraud-Telme in his office this morning.
The Minister welcomed the ambassador, and discussed joint bilateral relations between Bahrain and France, and ways to strengthen and develop them to achieve common goals, especially in trade and economy.
For his part, the French ambassador expressed his keenness to strengthen bilateral ties to serve the best interest of both countries and their people.
HE Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce received Mr. Khaled El Mekwad, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bahrain.
The Minister affirmed the government's keenness to increase opportunities for cooperation with the United Nations and its multiple development programs, praising the great efforts and development contributions of the United Nations and its agencies to support economic development, and noting the importance of the initiatives of the United Nations Executive Office and its remarkable contributions to many projects and programs in the country, to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
For his part, Mr. Khaled El Mekwad, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bahrain, expressed his appreciation to the Government of Bahrain for all its efforts to support the initiatives of international organizations and their programs, praising the accelerating growth of Bahraini economy and the progress the Kingdom is witnessing on various levels.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, stressed the strong ties between the Kingdom and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in the commercial and industrial sectors.
This came during a meeting between the Minister of Industry and Commerce and H.E. Mr. Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources in Saudi Arabia, within the framework of his official visit to Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, H.E. Fakhro noted the importance of supporting all programs, initiatives and projects that strengthen bilateral ties, praising Saudi Arabia's strategic steps, which reflect the commitment towards sustainable development for economic sectors, especially the industrial sector, which is witnessing rapid development and growth.
H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed that supporting national industries and encouraging the competitiveness of the national product reflects the diversification and sustainability of the national economy, and the visions of the industrial sector strategy (2022-2026) to increase the industrial sector's contribution to the GDP, and exports of national origin, achieving sustainable development, and providing new opportunities for investment and export.
This came during the opening of the Dallaspresso manufacturing facility by the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the presence of BCCI Chairman Mr. Sameer Abdullah Nass.
During the tour of the facility, the Minister was briefed on all stages of coffee and tea production, starting from processing, all the way to roasting and packaging. His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation of how the facility achieves high quality in its products, and its commitment to international health and safety standards.
The Minister praised the ambitious initiatives of local industries, and the efforts of DallaSpresso in offering high quality local products, stressing the Ministry's continued support for the local industry, and expanding its marketing scope to reach regional and global markets.
For his part, Chairman of Dallaspresso, Mr. Khalid Al-Amin, said: “We are pleased to open our newly expanded factory, which confirms our commitment to providing world-class products, and contribute to the development of the local industry. We look forward to meeting the increasing demand for our products locally and internationally and increasing our production capacity."
Al-Amin appreciated the efforts to strengthen partnerships between the government and private sector, praising the role of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Labor Fund “Tamkeen", the Economic Development Board “EDB", and the participating strategic investors, which enabled Dallaspresso to reach this point of achievement.
Dallaspresso was founded locally in 2016, led by Mr. Ali Mohsen, who presented the first product of Arabic and Turkish coffee capsules and local “Karak", in an attempt to keep up with the latest global trends in the world of coffee and tea with a local flavor. Dallaspresso produces more than one million “Karak" capsules and coffee, and offers more than 21 different types, the products are exported to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Jordan, in cooperation with Export Bahrain. Dallaspresso focuses on diversity and creativity in its products, targeting Gulf and international markets.
