A program which aims to measure the contribution of the industrial sector to the Kingdom of Bahrain's economy. Industrial Establishments can obtain the In-Country Value Certificate (TAKAMUL) to get priority in government purchases.
Program’s Objectives:
• Direct the industrial sector expenses to the local market.
• Encourage new industrial investment opportunities.
• Enhancing the competitiveness of national industries.
• Give the priority to national products in government purchases.
• Create promising jobs and develop national cadres to join the industrial sector.
• Increase the local content and the efficiency of the value-added chain.
Procedures to obtain the In-Country Value Certificate (TAKAMUL):
- The industrial establishment should approach an approved audit firm in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to review and verify the In-Country values (ICV) and issue the ICV audited report (TAKAMUL).
- Fill out the application form and submit the ICV audited report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade through the website (www.moic.gov.bh).
- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce will review the application and verify that all requirements are fulfilled, then approve the application, and issue the In-Country Value (TAKAMUL) certificate.
