His Excellency Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, stated that the United Nations’ adoption of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence is a significant international achievement that reflects the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. It also highlights the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to promoting understanding, mutual respect, and acceptance of diversity.
He noted that the initiative, launched by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, represents a leading Bahraini model in humanitarian and diplomatic efforts, culminating in the adoption of the resolution by broad international consensus.
The Minister added that celebrating this day for the first time on 28 January underscores global recognition of the importance of tolerance and coexistence in building stable and prosperous societies, reaffirming Bahrain’s contribution to advancing a culture of peace worldwide.
